This questionnaire is part of the Sacred Heart & St Margaret Mary, Our Lady of Good Counsel and St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Parishes consultation taking place regarding the proposal to formally merge these Catholic Parish communities which we currently refer toas the Holy Family Community. Only the Bishop has the authority to establish, alter or suppress parishes (See Canons 120-122, 515.3). This consultation process is taking place with the permission of Bishop Patrick McKinney and all findings will be presented to him for his consideration and to assist with his decision-making.
In order that the consultation process be as representative as possible, we are inviting parishioners, parents in our schools, Deanery clergy and local ecumenical representatives to complete this questionnaire. This may mean that we receive several responses from one household or family- this is perfectly acceptable but if you wish to submit a ‘whole family/household response’, this is fine too. However, we can only accept a maximum of ONE questionnaire per parishioner. Whilst the questionnaire cannot be anonymous, as we need to ensure that each one is a genuine, non-duplicated parishioner response, all responses will be held in the strictest confidence.
